It’s must be the weather – around 13 degrees now? That I’ll rather stay in n blogg about my great buys from QV market! It never fail to amaze me, the produce, the prices n the buyers at closing time. With a quick eye n decisive action, it’s grab, cash n carry. I’ve also learnt not to be greedy cas when you can’t finish using the food, you’ll still have to discard. There were baskets of grapes, strawberries, for A$2/- grabs but I’ve refrain cas it’s painful not finishing n then efforts of making jam, juice is just too tiring.
Trays of $10/- buys. But I love the atmosphere – the kaisu mentality wants to grab everything. Haha
It’s pork ribs ($3 per kg), pumpkin ($1/- for half) n broccoli ($0.50 for 2). The total for tonight’s dinner (in pic above) is less than $2/. Enough for 2 persons.
Brown the meat till BBQ fragrance.
Found these sauces n use directly onto the ribs.
Add water n braise it over low fire till meat falls off the bones. If water drys up, add more.
In the meantime, cook the pumpkin n broccoli in microwave oven. Dish up n serve when ready.
It’s finger licking good. The pairing is as good as it looks, juicy ribs with meat falling off the bones, sweet soft mushy pumpkin n crispy green broccoli. Yumzz in the tumzz. 😎😎🤗🤗🤔🤔
